Should I bring someone with me?

We do encourage you to bring a friend or partner with you to act as a moral support. However, we do have a number of single women coming into the clinic. So, having a companion join you all the time is not necessary.

Is consent required for abortion by my husband, parent etc.?

As along as you are an adult above 18 years of age, and in good mental health, husband or parent’s consent is not essential.

What should I do to prepare for the abortion procedure?

Once the registered medical practitioner/practitioners have given their opinion and based on your specific reason and situation, you will be taken to the consultation room and the nurse will perform all the necessary tests and prepare you for the procedure.

What should I do after the abortion?

Firstly, you should take all the medications that are given to you. Also, note that your menstrual cycle may be later or earlier than expected and slightly heavier, but it will regulate.  You should begin contraception following the abortion because the ovulation process will resume.

Besides, in order to prevent infection you should take the following steps for 2 weeks.

  • Firstly, no intercourse or douche.
  • Secondly, do not go swimming or take a bath in the tub.
